Every February the museum fills a room to recognize people whose commitment, generosity and service have carried this community — and to raise the money that keeps the doors open for another year.
26th Annual Banquet
Saturday, February 20, 2027 · Doors 5:30 · The Brazos Center
The appreciation banquet honors and publicly recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to this community, state or country. The evening includes dinner, entertainment and an auction. The 2027 theme is “From Black Print Culture to Digital Blackness.”
It is also the museum’s most important fundraiser. The budget depends on it: exhibitions, school tours, programs for children, staff development and the hours the building stays open.
The museum has kept a page for these years. Earlier banquets go back to 1999 but were never put online; if you have photographs or programs from any year, the museum would like to hear from you.
